UCHealth has an excellent opportunity for a PRN Surgical ICU Advanced Practice
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work for UCHealth Surgical Clinic-
Memorial Hospital Central
• Variety - This position works with the Surgical ICU team as
well as the Trauma Acute Care Surgery team and participates in
multi-disciplinary in-patient rounding on the unit.
• Schedule – Supports a work-life balance. No call required.
This position is PRN. We are a service with full day, weekend and holiday shift
coverage required.
• Our Team - Is a collaborative and cohesive group that
includes 18 Surgeons, and 7 APPs who thrive on proving the best Surgical
Critical Care in the region. Works closely with TACS team of the same surgeons
and 17 additional APPs.
Preferred: One year of Trauma Surgery & Acute Care experience and
one year of Critical Care experience as either a Physician Assistant or Nurse
Practitioner.
The pay range for this position is: $51.75 - $71.70 / hour, with
PRN differential. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Requirements for Nurse Practitioners
• Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse
Practitioner program
• Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the ANCC or AANPCB
• Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board of Nursing in
the state of practice or compact privileges under the multi-state Nurse
Licensure Compact agreement
• Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges
• Full Prescriptive Authority is required as well as RFNA
• Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all
medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice
• Eligible to provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider
status with Medicare and Medicaid
• Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the
HHS/OIG or the GSA List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by
the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
Requirements for Physician Assistants
• Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of
Colorado
• Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification issued by the National Commission
for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all
medications commonly prescribed in the course of practice
• Eligible to provide services reimbursable services and maintain provider
status with Medicare and Medicaid
• Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from either the
HHS/OIG or the GSA List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs
• Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges
• Prescriptive authority as appropriate, per medical staff service privileging
process
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by
the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
